Another fun hunt with Kirk and Cooper. Cooper is learning quick. "Scout shot a Lady" .......... Maybe he is learning too early!!!! Love going with my new hunting buddy. We even let him call in the ducks with us. Great Hunt.

My son gave him a call on this hunt and he would chatter with us hailing and chattering. He just about has it down. The hen that I shot just about took our heads off on the way down. Cooper came over and said "Scout, you shot a Lady." When I picked it up, it's mouth was open and he wanted to feel it's tongue. Inquisitive mind at every turn at this age.

LOL. I think its great he has the interest and has the supervision to bring him along. The more inquisitive they are the more they will learn. It wont be long he will be blitzing long beards.

Tom, He is still in the Red Ryder and Safety stage. I have a little single shot 410 that was Kirk's. He will graduate to it next. Then my old 20 gauge 1100 auto, followed by the 12. Plan on being around when he shoots that first greenhead and longbeard. I am having more fun with him than killing the greenheads right now. *lol*
