Title: Fall turkey plans
Post by: Porter on September 07, 2013, 07:57:14 AM: Well looks like MO and KS for me this year!

First week of October is scheduled off and I'll hunt MO October 1st and then leave for Kansas. I've never fall hunted Kansas, but the area we are going is a 4 bird limit. My friend has us some private land access and we will be hunting public land too. Hay farmers tend to despise turkeys and that cracks me up. We have been asked to shoot as many as we can! Nothing like a freezer full of turkeys (I hope).

K how is the flock there? I've been seeing a lot of late season poult hatches here in MO. Some of the hens have no poults and then one farm, there are about 10 to 15 running with a lone hen. I'm assuming something happened to their true moms!

....what really sucks is.. i'm gonna have to sell a box or two to make some gasoline funds.. :'(

Post by: GR8CALLS on September 27, 2013, 03:08:09 PM: We are SWAMPED, with turkeys this Fall! I took a ride around the property yesterday, and saw three different flocks! I have 15 roosting in the Walnut trees in my back yard almost every night.
