Had a great hunt, this morning. Had 20 birds fly off the roost. At least 6 gobblers were in the group. Made a few soft calls and two jakes appeared at the wood line, saw my decoy and came strutting in from 100 yards. They strutted around the decoy, pushing it in circles for five minutes. Looking back to where they came from, there stood in full strut, a nice gobbler. He saw the jakes at the decoy and came on the run, chasing them off and offering me a 18 yd. shot. The rest is history!
22.5 lbs., 10 inch beard and one spur was 1 1/2" the other 1 9/16". TRUE LIMB HANGER!
