Title: An Awesome Clark-It Short Box
Post by: hunter22 on March 21, 2013, 10:22:42 AM: When I got home from Mississippi my wife had put a package by my PC that had come while I was gone. It was from Don & Sarah Clark. I quickly tore into the box. I ordered this call from them after seeing box calls they had made Jeff and Bob from Chinkapin Oak and mud-cured Cedar bridge piling. Not only is it gorgeous, it has that distinct yee-awk on both sides by simply pulling the lid across the soundboards. I know this is what a call is suppose to do but you would be surprised at how many do not do this. I don't have to tell you guys that know them what fine folks the Clark's are. I keep telling Don I am coming by his place when I am in that part of central Arkansas for a visit. Sarah put a woodburned feather on the lid which just sets off the call.

They just dont get any finer than the Clarks. Congrats on the killer call bud.....I told Don in Nashville he had to get me a longbox from that to complete my three set !!!!

That chinkapin oak is pretty rare and Don was fortunate to get some that was ''standing dead'' . And the ancient bridge pilings have some gorgeous cedar that has been influenced by pressure , age and vibration for many years. Now set her loose on some gobblers bud !
