Uh Oh... why's that? Redbones have an awesome sense of smell and they are awesome coon dogs... hunted around a many growing up.
She's as spoiled as can be though, but she'd enjoy it. Very well trained and does what she's told (or I like to think that :) )
-
Adam is a coon Hunting Master Champion he raised coon dogs for a long time before and after he got married. He thinks Walkers are the ONLY Coon dogs. He will have some fun with you!

Here's my beagle, Buddy. Had to put him down about 2 months ago, his body was filled tumors. I was going through some old soundfiles of calls the other day and you could hear him howling in the background. He's missed.

More good looking dogs! Here's our latest turkey dog apprentice.
-
Hey Jon what kind of dog is Apprentice?
-
Your apprentice is so cute she looks like her name should be SAM.
Mike
-
Just kidding about her being a turkey dog. Pepper is a dapple Dachsund - what she lacks in stature, she makes up in heart!

This guy has cost me some duckies', but he's a good ole boy. He is a Pachanga Lab, and is about 5yrs old. His name is Pavo; its Spanish. Can you guess what it means?
-
Means peacock in Spanish I believe, but is also the name of a constellation of stars or something? Beautiful face I bet he is a joy!
-
It means turkey in spanish.

The White English Bulldog is Mikey, lost him about 5 years ago, he was a special friend. The brown one is Jesse I lost her on my birthday in July, she was the daugter I never had. If you never had a bulldog they are the most unusual and precious dogs I have ever been around.

He's just ribbing ya. I have walked more miles behind coon dogs through out the eastern part of the country than I care to remember. I got into competition hunting pretty big for a while and never found any breed that suited me other than a Walker dog. I have walked behind every breed you can imagine. It's funny, because coon hunters are feircly loyal to the breed they choose. It's not the same sport it was years ago. If you competition hunt you have to have a dog that will knock a hole in the dark and put a coon up a tree quickly and consistently. With the amount of money being put up now the older breeds like the Black and Tan, Blueticks and Redbones are going by the way side. You don't see many of them at all and you sure don't see many that can keep up with Walkers. All in all though alot of the old timers swear by them. The hounds such as Redbones and Black and tans have too good a nose. Walkers are not for everybody and there are alot of people out there who'd rather shoot one than hunt one. It's all in what your looking for. ;)

Here is my Doberman. He is the most loyal dog I ever met. Wouldn't hurt a flea unless someone came in my house uninvited.

Yes Sir it is !! He is an Italian Grey Hound . The next one up is the Whippet and then the Largest Grey Hound. His name is Luigi..AKA..."The WEEGE" He is Named after Ole Lou ..LOL Not that Weege has a million and 1 Turkey Calls..but kinda resembles Lou. Ive had him Hunting Squirrel and he loves it...Weege..not Lou. The only Bad thing is when I kill one he thinks its his and takes me 10 minutes to get it back....lol Ive also had him in the wood a few times jerking around for Turkeys..Hes Busted 4 flocks in the few times we did it.If I could just keep him in my lap still....he could do the Turkey Thang. RkLu He being a Site Hound and running like lightning...U got to watch every move in the woods or hes after it. He hasn't chased Deer ...but wanted to....I was givin him to much heck while he looked at the Deer and gettin ready to dig in....lol Hes a good Boy !
