Title: Snake Boots
Post by: VGJ5 on March 26, 2012, 11:27:13 AM: I am more satisfied with my decision to buy snake boots last spring, with every passing day . . .

My buddy saw him curled-up in a ball, directly ahead in our path. I saw him motioning me over all excited, and I thought it was a gobbler, *lol* He said it was a snake and pointed at it, but I couldn't see the darn thing, even though I was staring straight at it. Finally my eyes adjusted to the form, and I said "SHOOT IT!"

That's the first rattler that I've seen in our woods!

I thought about cooking him up, but the smell of his insides (too deep a cut) made me decide otherwise.

No laces on mine, but plenty of rubber and kevlar!

We saw a medium moccasin this past weekend, but we let him live because it was peak hunting time. More regret . . .
