Took my 8 year old daughter this morning on the youth hunt. You couldn't have scripted a hunt any better for a kid. I bet he gobbled 400 times from the roost to the gun barrel. She laid him down at about 15 yards. 23 lbs, 10 1/4" beard, 1 inch spurs. She is excited. She thinks this hunting stuff is a piece of cake. She's been turkey hunting twice and killed one both times. My season is already made and it hasn't even started yet.
