My cousin and I bagged these two this morning. They didn't do much talking, but we made it work and waited them out. My bird never gobbled; just popped out right in front of me in full strut. We heard my cousin's bird gobble while we were packing-up to head to the truck. We jumped down on a tree, and shortly thereafter he (and his buddies) showed up. We only heard that one gobble all morning. I would still call it a pretty successful opening day!

Yeah, our phones take better pictures than my camera now! Thanks everyone! I'm going to try and sneak in a quick hunt at my cousin's place nearby, in the morning. We heard some vocal ones in there on Sunday and had a close call with a nasty old bird.

Yes, but it was well worth it! I believe we heard only ONE gobble all morning (mine never gobbled), saw about 6 gobblers, and left the woods with 2.
We sent team B (my Mom and my new-to-turkey-hunting buddy) to the same spot the following morning, with no success. I even gave them the Ghostblind! They apparently hooked up with the old gobbler that wouldn't let anyone else talk. He had a silent buddy and all the hens with him. My mom had him coming, but unfortunately he snuk around the open side of the GB and saw my buddy moving. ::)
