Dogwood for a paddle?

Has anybody use Dogwood for a paddle? I have some logs that are dry and was thinking about trying it out.

Have not seen it in a paddle, love it in a box. Also looking for some big enough for a pot!

I've never used it as a paddle, only because I haven't had any..  *lol* I would guess it would make a good'n!

I have used it for paddles and they worked out to be satisfactory

It is kind of hard so best to use it on a walnut or something.  Make sure its good and dry. It does strange things if you cut it to size with much moisture still in the piece.  Bet to work it down slow.

Dogwood is great for any use.  Choose strait grain for a paddle and everything else for the box or pot.  True use it on hardwood boxes seems to be best.  I love that stuff.  One of my favorite woods.!!!
