a great set of calls from Brian Watts
« on: November 16, 2011, 11:26:53 AM »
Finally met someone from my "neck of the woods" that is stricken with the same illness that we all have. We have talked back and forth a few times but have failed to get face to speak. Well, last Sunday Osage Menber Brian Watts dropped in the shop for a visit. He was bearing a gift...a big slab of Osage!!! No Porter----aint fer ya !!! *lol*
We enjoyed our stories and call talking alot. This past Sunday, he dropped in for a follow up visit. He brought in some of his work....I had to get a few items from him. He is bit with the turning bug, and let me say, his work is great. Here is a Birdseye Maple slate call with Osage striker, a Osage crow call with hand made mouth piece, and a couple of flat out beautiful pens. one is Deer antler and the other is Amboyna Burl. Brian--you work is great , the calls sound really good and I wanted to share with these guys what you have never shown.
Thanks for the fine items !!!

Looks like  ol' Brian has been "hiding his light under a bushel," as the saying goes!
Beautiful work!
