Some good Osage
« on: October 04, 2011, 09:53:56 AM »
Generally, I hate turning Osage. To me, it's usually boring and plain. I know you can flame it to make it look better, but I don't really like that either.
Anyway, I got this piece from Matt McLain last year and it's, by far, the best piece that I've ever turned. The pictures really did not capture the color very well. Hope y'all like it.

Mike

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the comments. I do like to turn Osage, but the grain is just usually so uneventful that it makes a boring looking trumpet in my opinion. It does turn and finish well though.
