Had an awesome hunt this morning, birds gobbled their heads off on the limb and ground except the dominant bird....He never made a sound ! Had two long beards and two jake's fly out in the field with several hens. The dominant bird whooped on the other tom and kept him away from the hen's. They would not cooperate but I finally made an ol hen mad She got to hollering back and I would cut her off well this ol boy came from another field, crossed the ditch and came all the way across the field to the deke's, started whipping my B-mobile and he had the go ahead to shoot !! Ended up shooting him low and shooting a good portion of his beard off All in all it was a great hunt and had 6-7 different birds gobbling.
What was left of the beard was 9.5", one 7/8" spur with one broken off and 24 lb. 22 yard shot and his second Tn long beard.
