We were not stand hunting, these deer are to hard to pattern. They tend to change travel routes randomly. Country is open with oak choked draws. So we just spot and stalk from ridge tops. My buddy wanted to head for another draw before dark. Because of my bad knee I was thinking more of getting back to the truck. Lucky me!
