First scrimshaw

My first scrimshaw.... on an ivory guitar pic for a good friend of mine for Christmas.  It's nothing fancy, just my friend's initials.  Thanks Mike Houlihan for his help in getting started.  



This afternoon, I turned a box from kingwood as a contained for the two pics.  The other pic had some really pretty grain, so I left it blank.

It looks great, Danny.  And the box is also beautiful.  Your friend is going to be delighted with both the pics and the box.  I hope we'll see some scrimshaw on your amazing trumpets in 2011.
