From a Box Call guy To a Trumpet Maker
« on: December 22, 2010, 02:57:24 PM »
A while back I did a trade with with one of the members on here, Jeff Erb/Southern Spur.  As most of you know I am a box call guy.  I have made a few wingbone yelpers with real wingbones and the dern things would always tickle my lip and that turned me off.  I got to going back and forth with Jeff on his trumpet and asked if he would send me instructions on how to play the thing as I figured I was not playing it properly.  He did just that.  I received the call today.  I read the instructions and in about 5 minutes had the this fine trumpet playing kee kee's and yelps at a very easy cadence.   What a fine Call -- We all look for new calls to put in our vest, and Jeff, I can assure you this one will be with me for years to come.  It is Maccasscer Ebony with a Bufflalo Horn mouthpiece.  I just hope the box I mail you shortly will fill a gap in your vest.

Thanks for a fine Christmas present!

A fine looking call from Spur.......He's got it going on w/ his sound....

You'll do well to tote it along this upcoming spring. RkLu Then put a blooding thumb print on it. *bannana*
