Ohio Fall Turkey Season 2010

 Here's a picture from last weekends turkey hunt. I am blessed to have three big flocks on the land I hunt. I am actually overrun with birds on this farm. There's nothing like hearing 100 turkeys fired up on a fall morning. Every day I get to listen to all the vocalizations of the wild turkey , from clucks to gobbles and everything in between! They usually holler every morn for at least an hour on the roost before hitting the ground. Last saturday I decided enough was enough so I set up near one flock after fly-down and called to them with one of my fencepost callers . It only took 5 minutes for this bird to crest the small rise I was hiding behind. I was already at full draw when she came over the hill and I placed a gold tip in the center of her chest at 5 yards . Now I can concentrate a little more on the deer on this farm ! Heading to Kentucky next week for some Commonwealth turkey hunting before rifle season opens ! Good luck to everyone this fall !

Bob,

Great job on a turkey with a bow. A true test of your ability right there. You are a lucky man to have that many turkeys on the land you hunt. By the way, great looking call you used for the harvest.
