Called in 10 to about 70 yards today about noonish. Heard them cackling and cutting real hard. Snuck up by a pond and went to work. Lead bird was a triple bearded hen. I thought they were going to come in closer, or I'd been taking some photos. By the time I realized they were not closing in, I took some photos but I haven't seen what they were like and they were over 100yards away.
2 of the 10 were poults. I heard the gobbler group again today too. I'm kind of waiting on them for shotgun season (which starts on the 1st).
Just got home and going to hit the sack. Only supposed to be 60 tomorrow!!!
