Lignum Vitae Yelper
« on: August 10, 2013, 11:09:38 AM »
With my Oregon Elk hunt right around the corner this will be my last turkey call for awhile, time to get cracking on some elk calls for my hunt.  This is a Lignum Vitae Yelper with an Elk Antler ferral and Delrin mouth piece.  This wood it tough to wood burn on with all of the natural oils in the wood so the feather did not turn out as nice as I would have liked it to.  This call is being hand delivered this weekend to its new owner.

Thanks for the look.

Awesome looking trumpet. Nice wood burning  too. That wood looks somewhat like Osage.

I think it turned out GREAT! I really like the feather, and the whole call is sleek.

Thanks everyone for the great comments on that call, I really appreciate them.  As BluMtnGobbler posted he is the lucky new owner of that call.  He had no idea that call was made for him until I told him at their NWTF Banquet that I had something for him that I would give him at the end of the night.  The look on his face and his response when I gave him the call was payment in full for me *gobble*.  That is my way of showing my appreciation to him for all of his hard work with his local NWTF Chapter in support for my passion of turkey hunting.  Keep up the good work Brian you've earned that call in my eyes!!!!!!!!!!
