J R Hunt Camp Gobbler

Couple weeks ago I headed up to Mississippi with my good buddy Jim to try our luck. After a late start we headed out. Around 8:30 we heard a bird gobble, we quicky moved in on him and set up. I eased to the edge of the powerline while Jim sat about 15 yrds behind me in the woods to call. Shortly after setting up the bird answered the Snodgrass longbox and the game was on. After some good gobbling, he appeared on the powerling and with some soft calling on a Sneed slate he worked his way into 40 yrds. I figued enough was enough and let the nitros fly!!!

Congrats again killer. Glad to see you and Jim out after them. I understand he also has taken a Mississippi gobbler at his camp. If you see him tell him I want to see a pic of it on here. I talked to him recently and sure miss him on here.

Great picture of the bird with the nice green tint to the feathers. Tell Jim to get his butt back on here.
