1st Coyote
« on: May 28, 2012, 12:29:25 PM »
I got my first coyote on Friday.  I put out a little Code Blue coyote heat and used my Phantom remote call.  I tried the high-frequency cottontail first, with no response.  But the first time I hit that female invite call, he came running from my left.  I believe I only hit him once (through the heart), due to a blind spot that he was walking into as I fired the first round.  I quickly switched to the front window (to get around the blind spot), but only had time to fire a couple shots where he ran in.  He was right there in the woods, though.  I must say, I was quite impressed with the efficiency of that little .22 on coyotes!
