Tylers Soldier
« on: April 22, 2012, 05:51:36 PM »
My day didn't go very well had a small doe come in right at daylight and started snorting and stomping like she was the biggest and baddest of her kind. Had a tom coming in and one in a tree about 30 yards in front of us and another one about 50 yards out. I knew that the close one would pitch way out there but the tom we had set up on was  about 100 yards out and was coming hard but that dang doe showed up and put an end to that clearing a hen came in and picked him up and off they went. Never heard another gobble the rest of the day. I set up on 5 different toms throughout the day and they wouldn't even think of coming my way. They are turning off here some kind of bad.

Tyler on the other hand is tagged out but he carried one of his soldiers this morning forgot his vest but had his trumpets  and using only a trumpet call he called this big boy in and Thomas killed this bird. This is only the second bird he has ever killed. He went on the Commander Generals hunt with a H&S Pro staffer and killed a Jake. He wanted a long beard so Tyler carried him this morning. Man he was tickled to death.
