A set of great strikers from Steve Torman
« on: July 16, 2011, 10:49:01 PM »
Here are three very nice sounding strikers I received recently from a good "ol West Virginia callmaker, Steve Torman . I have heard alot of good things about his hollow-ended strikers and I am pleased to say they as nice as I was told . These are all hand-made without a lathe , just a few tools and a lot of hard work ! These are made from dogwood , maple and hickory . They range in sound from low-pitch , medium pitch and high pitch . The hickory is the high pitched striker and I just love the sound of it ! The dogwood is very cool looking with that gnarly knot in it and it sounds killer ! They all run easily and sound great ! Thanks for making these fine strikers for me Steve ! I am sure they will get alot of use next spring !! I'll be getting a few more from Steve for sure ! I highly recommend getting on his list !

I sure enjoyed making them for you Bob. Glad you like them.

I kinda thought that the knot in that Dogwood looked like a turkey in full strut.  Hope it brings you luck.
