"Toted for a while"

Here is "Sweetness".  You know that you have a keeper for your vest (in my case, on my leg) when your hunting partner names your favorite call.  I have toted "Sweetness" to woods every morning since the 1987 season.  It is my old friend by my side.   It was the second call that I made.

Let's see your calls toted for a while *ride*

John, here are some pictures of a caller I made some years ago...poplar and cedar...don't remember exactly when, but it was before I started putting dates on them..I killed a few birds using it and then just put it up...I don't usually hunt with a specific caller year in and year out..I make myself a new caller or two every season and enjoy taking them out and calling birds with them...then I usually either sell them or give them away..
and I put a few on the shelf planning to use them another time... like I did this one ..sometimes I do and sometimes I don't...anyway it is 15 years plus old...I do remember the last bird it called, though.  I was with one of my Grandsons who was about 12 years old..and he is 22 now.  It was his first bird that we called in together.
