Ode to Porter

Where oh where has Porter gone?
Up in Mo hunting all alone....
He thought he had found a gobbler sitting on a limb....
But the whole time the gobbler was waiting on him.....

He watched that long beard sail off in the fog....
He stood there disgusted, then sat on a log....
Still upset he stomped on his hat.....
Cussing under his breath...."if that don't beat all"

Where oh where has Porter gone?
Up in Mo hunting all alone....

As he stood there he took out Morgan's yella call...
Hoping to correctly mimick the sounds of fall...
As he stroked the paddle over the soundboards...
Visions filled his head of turkeys arriving in hoards...

Much to his dismay...
The turkeys were in no mood to play...
So Porter decided to switch gears...
Unfortunately, for Porter, all that brought were more tears...

You take it from here Al or anyone that feels up to it.  ;D

Stopped in a briar patch...
When he felt the urge.....

He looked to the left.....
And looked to the right....
Making sure that nobody was in sight....
In his mind the coast was all clear....

Down on his luck Porter got stuck in the muck..
Brown leaves fall all around his poor truck..
Town is miles away from the poor schmuck.

A Gobbler strolls across the knoll...
In witness of the truck stuck in the deep muck.
Away the leaves drift as Porter Dreams of Falls past...

Call's Galore adorn his abode in ole MO...
Osage calls are Porters porn....
Somewhere a legend of sorts sits alone....

Poor Porter has dreams of Gobblers galore....
Where have they all gone...
Ha Ha, the neighbor has more corn ....

Very very funny...  that's what I get for giving a field report!

Although it would be cool to rhyme, I just don't have the time
See birds a many I told my granny
Is the measure of success, having to field dress?
If that is the case, then I loss face
As empty handed, I have landed  *cry*
I'll end this story, with the birds not worried
As for the wind was the cause, of todays flaws!

In the brier patch he was taking care of bussiness
When Up on the mountian he heard such a ruckus
It was the bird he had nicknamed Ol' Buckus
He took off in a flash
to catch up with that bird
But in his haste he forgot to squeeze of that turd

Must be him I hear calling from here in tennessee
with those yeller calls loaded in a tye dyed shoulder bag
not a turkey in a tree or the same county as he
after striking those yeller calls.
A quick stop for a pee, and what did he do
but take off for a sneak with his knee pads covered in pee.
I hope you dont loose those calls in all that yellow all around
