New Call Maker
« on: September 19, 2010, 07:47:14 PM »
My Youngest daughter came to visit for the day and brought her children...My youngest grandson, Sean, stayed in the shop with me most of the late morning-early afternoon today and turned out this very good looking and good sounding longbox...its made of walnut with a blackwood lid. Sean did most everything except the work with the saw..he is a little young and inexperienced to be working with table saws and band saws. I want him to grow up with all his fingers...but he did all the work on the drill press and sanders and even used a chisel to dress up the inside of the box after drilling it out...it is his first box caller and I think he did a great job on it

SUPER, GREAT, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL!
There isn't enough words to describe what it's like to have a young man take interest in a dads or grandpa's work.
"Quality is like buying oats. If you want nice clean oats you must pay a fair price. If you can be satisfied with oats that have already been through the horse, those come a lot cheaper".
