Back from Iowa
« on: April 18, 2010, 10:13:05 AM »
This boss gobbler came a quarter mile across a corn stubble field to go for a ride in my vehicle.  The birds roost in timber surrounded by open fields.   I tried getting on them in the morning, the last three years, but I was always busted.  They would fly off and not return to that roost spot for a few days.  An afternoon hunt got the job done.
26 lbs  10 1/2" beard, 1 1/8" spurs.

I would have included a photo of me with the bird but Preston acuses me of wearing camo that is not color coordinated.  ROTFLMBO

Nice bird Ralph! Preston is color blind, I wish you had been in the picture! Congratulations!
