Buster's on the board in 2017

After a very non eventful opening day here, me and Buster finally got into a few turkeys he busted. They went only two directions that I could see, so we set up on them- it wasn't long at all before the calling started- had my new Don Watkins trumpet hanging around my neck and a Mahoe box out softer calling- one behind me was eating up the Watkins kee kee and was coming. Suddenly, dead ahead of me one of the four that broke together appeared in a hurry to get to me- the gun went off and Buster got his first turkey of this season - nothing like a Byrne hunting companion !

An awesome duo!  Sounds like a great hunt!  Does buster get a treat?  A good friend slow cooks the feet and that is the dogs treat.   :o Says the pooch LOVES EM!
