I've come back to look at this call multiple times. When calls are done this well, they are art, with just small accents like the turkey prints, inlays, and checkering. They don't need big scrimshaw pieces or carving or wood burning. This call is perfectly beautiful.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words about the call  I have never posted many calls but when I finished this call I thought WOW !! this call is really cool and needs to be posted and it really sounds as good as it looks

Well.... If I had a buddy... and that buddy was named Mike and if that buddy really appreciates our friendship.... one would believe that buddy would one day hook a buddy up with something sooo spectacular! Just saying!!!
All kidding aside ... Beautiful call Mike and I'm sure it would have never leave your workbench without that classic "Lapp Dance" sound.... pure Turkey!

That is one nice looking call ! I got a little sneak preview and my first thought was wow that's RED ! Mike says "I don't want anyone to hunt with it! .......I'm thinkin to mysef.......now if I didn't make calls and bought it OR if I woulda made it.....there's not a snowballs chance in heck that I wouldn't hunt with it ! Kinda reminds me of Neil's call (cypress or poplar,can't remember which..) where he gives it a couple swipes of black spray paint to tone it down .    In all seriousness  beautiful  lookin call. And it has to sound great cuz otherwise it would be in the firewood pile!!! Nice job Mike! congratulations Bill
