Finally worked on a Onesider

This is a one of the first Onesiders. Made from a 173 year old pc of Heart pine from Preston Lawson Home place in Louisiana. Like trying to cut a rock with a butter knife.

Great job Jackie! You know, they do have some other tools now other than that old case pocket knife you carve them with, but I know, some of us ole coots are stuck in our ways!!  ROTFLMBO

It's something to think about when you think that tree was growing when the Decoration of Independence was signed. Nice to have a pc of wood from Preston's family history work on for him.
