Chris's First Turkey

My BIL Chris took his first turkey on April 17 2014. It was a big jake. He weighted14 lbs. 11 oz. with 4" beard and 1/2" spurs. He took the jake with a Remington 1100 3" 12 gauge with a 30" fixed full barrel. His ammo was Kent 3" 2 oz. #6 lead shot. I called in 4 jakes and three hens to within 14 yards of us before he shot. Chris was a happy hunter. I am going to get him a big gobbler next.

Awesome, congrats!
First birds are the best! I am praying that I get my buddy his first bird on Saturday, so he doesn't quit on me. The weather is ripe for it down here, as long as I don't screw it up!
