looking to get a new rest and new site, any suggestions?

i have had a muzzy zero effect drop away for several years now and am looking for a full containment rest.  i am heavily leaning toward the qad hunter. 

as for the sight, i am looking at a couple, one of which is the truglo micro-brite sight.  another i am thinking about, although it is on the high end of what i would be willing to pay (unless i can get a used one), is the black gold flashpoint solaris.

anyone used any of the above or have any other suggestions?  i do not want to go with a whisker biscuit, even though i know several who have them and love them.  as for other sights to look at, i am pretty open, but want multiple pins.  i had an hha single pin, which was a great site, but i don't want to have to fiddle with moving my site when a deer comes in range.  i am not shooting a fast enough bow to get the benefit of a single pin.

I'm not going to be much help, but curious why you do not want a whisker biscuit?  I'm not big on bow hunting, but that's what I use.

the people that have them swear by them.  my brother used to use one and another friend of mine loves his.  my thought on the whisker biscuit is about the bristles wearing down, or if i decide to use a larger diameter arrow and mainly, i am looking for the least amount of noise possible.  it is more of me being a bit too picky.  i just like the idea that with a fall away rest, if you torque your bow a little, it will not be as severe as it would with a rest where the arrow is in contact the whole time.  there is absolutely nothing wrong with a wb, i am just a little too into the minor details.

that axcel is pretty sweet.  it's kind of similar to the black gold and if i get either of those two, i'll have to get them used.

i'm shootin the rip cord on my switchback...i do a fair bit of stalkin hogs and this rest is awsome...it can shoot from the up or down position...it locks upright when walkin but if you draw and let down it lowers and the funtions like a regular drop away untill you reset it....

i think the new rip cord's are suppose to be more like the qad's, where it will stay up, even when you lower it.

i have had mine for a couple yrs...havny seen the new ones yet....but i did just see the new Hoyt Matrix and i think i might have to sell a kid or two to get it

that carbon matrix is a funky looking bow, i've never shot one, or know anyone who has.

 QAD has flaws.  Sorry to break some hearts but I would never waste my money on another one, nor would I let a friend buy one.  They are easily broken, internals can fail over time and rarely will you achieve perfect timing or vein clearence even being a drop away concept. 

I prefer a "trophy taker" for a drop away rest and the "whisker biscuit" for the best all around hunting rest.  I want gear that is tough, durable and reliable in the field and that usually means a simple design/concept is the best.---Jason

P.S.  When considering your archery equipment you must ask yourself...  what is it you want from it most?  A good rest is solid/tough, accurate and has a simple function design.

Personally I'll probably always use the biscuit. It's a no brainer, just like me.

I got a new sight today. The "Judge" by Trophy Ridge. It is the easiest sight I have ever used. Sight in two pins. First use the gang adjust to sight in the 20 yd pin.
Then adjust sight pin knob for 30 yard pin. It automatically sets the 40, 50 and 60 yard pin. I was tearing of fletches at 50 yards.
