a two State hunt today

This morn found one of my buddies and myself on a friends place in N Alabama. Lady luck shined on me as some birds flew down some 250 yds or more from me in a field. They hit a longbox, the ole Lonnie Sneed Hot Hen and my mouth call of Joe Slatons really good. They finally made it my way and there was 4 longbeards,2jakes and 9 hens in the bunch. The other 3 stood a gobbled and flogged my bird for almost 10 minutes after the shot.
We really didnt have alot of land there so Steve and I decided we would tear out for his uncles properity some 30 minutes due north in Tennessee. We got there and snuck around some ag fields and got to the wood line. Took out my Butternut longbox, and the third note---two birds gobbled. Steve immediatlly pointed to a tree for me and he jumped in front about 15 yds---even though I had a Tenn tag--ever had a BUUDY do ya that way *peep* . I went with the flow and this bird came all the way to the gun with the same longbox. That ole call was good to us today.

OK, I am done counting its either 7 or 8, no matter, its more than what I will shoot this year. Way to go Jethro (Jeff) you are a thug again this year.  Congrats on a great hunt.!  Congrats Steve!

News Flash !!!!! Eye witness reports...... There's a little more to this hunting story thats missing and needs to be told *wha*. A little birdie told me. The good Tennessee friend and source (The guy to Jeff's right) who wants to remain anonymous, reports that there were 4 Nitro's used on this hunt. Sources on the ground (the guy to Jeff's right) witnessed Dr. Kill All "aka" Jeff "Snakeboots" McKamey unloaded 3 yes 3 rounds on his bird and was left with just the fresh smell of Nitro's and the felling of emptiness (like his shells) in the air when Jeff realized he had missed the bird.... Clean and not a feather out of place.   *gobble* Bang, Bang, Bang *cry*. My source (the guy to Jeff's right) rejoicing in the harvest of his bird, left Snakeboots  felling lower than a snakes belly. ???  Later Jeff used that low angle to do one of his famous belly craws ..... and the 4th yes the 4th nitro of the day to finally finish the deal. *aah* You left that part of the story out Jeff.... Why?  Glad you buy the Nitro's by the case.... Sounds like you need a box a bird.... ;D  *peep*  *bannana*

P.S. Congrats guys on a couple nice birds!!  *up*
