K, it was designed to be similar to a wing bone.

Kenny, actually because it has a machined wing bone type mouthpiece ( exclusive to WildTalker ) it's not made or used for great Kee's ( you can squeeze them out..lol ). It's a Hybrid caller to be very user-friendly like a wingbone or Jordan type caller but also have that Trumpet sound also. It's made for yelps, clucks, cuts and cackles...... which is what we do most the time on a caller. It's not better....... just a different Turkey, especially for those who are not a master of the trumpet.

I always suggest for a Kee Kee trumpet is a small round hole with a beveled tip. Like what made Tom Turpin a Legend.

watch this video of my 5 year old grandson after 5 min playing it. Ain't PaPa proud.  :)

Mike I don't have a bit of trouble with kee's on the Black Hunter. I also like the sharp cluck it produce's.
Breaking into the kee kee run take's a little practice.

I know it can be done but I don't suggest them for Kee's because it takes more practice and someone who can really run a call well. Plus...... if I, or when I make the next caller it will be with a round mouthpiece for easy Kee's.  Yet that will be a more traditional Trumpet style call.

We know you kick but with it....... *ride*

Me neither.....mine kee-kees just fine! You just have to find the "sweet spot" on your lip! ;)

And yes, it plays really easy too!

Man, I like the light green prototype.

The light green prototype was a NO Go because you could see where the middle section screwed together. Trust me in person it is very distracting. That is why I HAD to go to Opaque or Solid colors. MY next trumpet will not have that problem. The Original Alpha serves a great purpose and the user friendly part is or was my intent in the design. Yet I do know some really want the :eye candy: colors because boys like their toys to look good to them.

Bill got that call because even though the color did not work out but because I had changed the "tune" and was wanting his feedback. The Perk is is got to add it to his collection. Getting peoples feedback is invaluable to me because it helps me "tune" my callers to best I can make them. I am lucky to have a few people who give me great input to finish my designs and tuning.
