Here is one of the ole Bulldog specials as they are called. Its Alaskan Yellow Cedar with Zebrawood above and below it.Got called about making this one from a friend that wanted a bible scripture burned on the side of it.
I am very limited with my burning skills. I was worried at ruining a tuned call burning it at the end. When I agreed to try it, I asked the Scripture ....and was told Ecclesiastes.... *aah* *fall*....it couldnt have been Luke or John or something short and easy !!! ROTFLMBO
It worked out pretty well for this ole redneck. I just wish I had a tad of the talent Witter,Ferguson,Jim Bartz or alot of others I see here. Maybe in time.
Anyway---the box has all the highs and lows and a daddy gobble in her. Hope ya roll a pile with her my friend !!!

Come on April i cant wait to take a picture with this and a big ole *ride*! Outstanding work Jeff! I called jeff a while back and told him i would like to have a long box! Jeff asked what do you want? I said a "Bulldog Special" Mikeys call ! This call has three special meanings to it. The first is when i came on the roost Bulldog Mikey always had good things to say and encouragment. i found myself ready lots of Mikeys posts. I took a hiatus from the forum and had come to find out he shot on through to bigger and better things. Talking with Jeff he told me a little about Mikey and explained he was a religious man. About that same time i lost my Mother in Law that fought breast cancer for 22 yrs! At here service the Preacher read Ecclesiastes 3 1-8. The scripture totally rang a bell with me for some reason. And the third i have been fortunate enough to befriend one of the best callmakers in the buisness. Jeff has always had time and helped me with tips and pointers in my journey of call making. Thanks for making time for me Jeff! When this season opener rolls around and i wake up at 330 am and head out to the woods, set up and watch the sun crest up over the hill and listening to the hens fly out of the roost inbetween heavy heart beats I will have all three of these people in mind!

Bulldog touched us all in one way or another and I am glad we all still think of him often. Every time I make or see one of the yeller calls---I THINK OF HOW THAT COMBO CAME TO BE WITH mIKE --IT WAS A ACCIDENT-TOTALLY. iTS A GREAT COMBO TOO !!!
Just like you my friend, I would have never achieved the sound I have without the helping guidence of quite a few guys in this hobby,one has passed and Marlin, thank you !!!
I relish passing on what little I know to others with the same passion my friend.
I hope you find the call full of feathers and that it rolls a bunch for ya my friend!!!

Recieved this call today it is a definite 10 on a scale of ten! the finish work is unreal way to pretty for me! The sounds this call puts out is really henny *aah*! April cant come soon enough! BIG thanks to you Jeff!

Porter---thats some of the stuff I cut wrong----for Guy, I just PAINTED on the endgrain on each end so he wouldnt know it---I have to get that stuff moved out .... *peep* ;D.
