Post by: West Augusta on January 08, 2012, 06:21:48 PM
I made this Dogwood, two Black Locust and a Cherry for a guy in Illinois.
Hope he likes them.

Yikes Steve... *up*  these are fine, but I think you made a big mistake and I am sure one of those locust strikers are supposed to be headed to western NY.

Some sweet work there, West!

Do you have a specific source for your dogwood?

*lol*
Yep, I carried a dead, fallen Dogwood tree off the hill. Twice *lol*
This tree, I took a saw back up the hill last spring after an unsuccessful day of turkey hunting, cut a section off and carried it about a half mile. I like found wood. Knots, worm holes etc are bonuses.

Your strikers look great and I am sure they soung great also??  Those strikers remind me of the striker that came with the very first slate turkey call I bought some 35+ years ago, a D-Boone Slate with a green plastic "The Master Striker".  I was 12 years old when I bought that call and was just starting to hunt turkeys.  Keep up the good work!!
