A few weeks before Christmas my good friend Bob Fulcher called me and said he had sent me something very special. As I was glued to my mailbox, when this baby appeared. Bob nicknamed this long box the "mis fit" call, due to the time it took him to match the perfect lid to the perfect body. This was special call to commemorate are longtime friendship. I was never much into longboxes until I had the chance to hunt with the turkey master in his homestate. Now I am hooked on em! Bobs craftsmanship amazes me due to the less than ample tools (auto shop)he is using to build and finish these calls. These truely are a handmade finished works of art. Another proud call to add to my collection from one of the top dogs in call building *up*. Thanks for the kind words my friend ! The body of the call was made for Nationals in 2011 but I could not find a lid that sounded right on it . I went through a couple dozen lids before I finally threw in the towel and shelved the body . Well, this summer I was making alot of lids for my re-designed longbox and I made a cherry paddle from wood sent to me by my bud JMCK . This paddle would not work on any of the 12+ callers I tried it on so I finally gave up on it too . This fall I got the longbox out of storage and for some reason I tried the unuseable cherry lid on it . Low and behold , they were a match made in heaven ! These two call parts that would not work with any other parts , now sounded great to my ears . It has the sounds that I try to achieve in all my callers . Since I first made friends with Gregg along time ago , he has sent me several great calls, including calls for my Daughters , and done alot of fine artwork and burning for me . I thought this would be a good caller to send to him as a thanks for all his support and help over the years . I can honestly tell you that without his encouragement , I would never have entered any calls at the Grand National Contest . Thanks Gregg , I hope we roll some big gobblers again this spring !!!

That's the one ! The butternut came from my friend Peck Martin a few years back . I'm glad you like her Gregg !
