I am looking for some slate thats either 4.250" o.d, or that is Big enough I can cut it to size. Does anyone know where I can track some down at?

Brookside game calls web page sells rectangular sheets of slate. Other than that I don't know. Hope this helps.  *gobble*

Try old chalk boards on ebay, there are hundreds of them all sizes. just make sure they are real slate and the right thickness, take them apart and cut em up.
