I almost let this one slip by ! Here is a nice collectible boxcall made by Pennsylvania callmaker, Ken Baird . This one is made fromnative american chestnut from Kenny Crummett's farm in Sugar Grove , WV. and the lid , bottom and end blocks are walnut from Western Pennsylvania near California , PA. Ken builds his calls without a spring in them because he fells it takes away from the natural sound of the turkey . A special thanks to Gene Blackshire for getting in touch with Ken for us ! Ken Baird is featured in Earl Mickel's second book on callmakers and I am told that he doesn't sell many of his calls anymore . He primarily makes them for friends , so don't miss out on this nice turkey call ! Bidding will start at $45 and will end next monday at 6pm . Thanks for your support , Merry Christmas !(http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/zz308/shadetreecallers/shadetree%20callers%20part%202/kenbairddonation1.jpg)(http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/zz308/shadetreecallers/shadetree%20callers%20part%202/kenbairddonation2.jpg)
