Howdy gang, with the ongoing success of the Osage Roost Pickem Contest I was wondering if there would be enough interest to possibly create an Osage Roost Fantasy Football League for 2012?
I know there are a number of you that are more into the NFL than the college game and a number of the Pickem players would probably go for it..
Basic Fantasy football, for either bragging rights or we could enter prizes like in the Pickem Contest..
Any takers? We would need at least 10 people or preferably 12 or more...

I thought this was a turkey hunting forum ???

I thought this was a turkey hunting forum ???
In my neck of the woods turkey season runs from March through April and the time between is spent with other activities.
This forum is many things.. In addition to turkey hunting there are topics for call making, daily devotionals, politics, fishing, recipes, and even a swap meet.
There are a number of football fans here as is demonstrated by the fact the Pickem Contest has consistently had more posts and views than any other topic on the this forum in the past 12 months.
Again, we're tossing an idea around. All opinions are welcome, and if theres enough interest we'll put a game together. If not, well we wont bother..

Good question... I'm thinking if we do it I'll set up a Fantasy account with Yahoo. You'll get a login and password in much the same fashion as we do with Pickem. We'll announce a draft date and time and you can log in and draft your players during the draft or you can set your draft order preference and the computer will autodraft for you using the list you provided.

How would we do the draft order? Like I said in my earlier post. This is the first year I've ever done fantasy football, and it is on espn. I know on there you can set it up where the draft order is drawn randomly like 1 hour before the draft. That way the draft order is not set by anybody involved. Just my opinion.

Absolutely, we'd let the computer determine the draft order that way everything is random.

What format did you have in mind Chad? I've played in a PPR league for a couple of years now. It seems to be the easiest format for beginners to understand and keep up with. Another question is how many teams were you thinking? I think it should be pretty easy to get 10 team going?

Count me in too!!!!

I want to keep it very bare bones and make it easy for a newbie or novice to understand and enjoy.
I'm thinking 10-12 teams with PPR rules...
