Title: My daughter's first deer.

My 8 year old daughter took this doe this afternoon on her first ever deer hunt. She took her first turkey this past season on her first turkey hunt. I am pretty proud of her. She dropped this ole gal right in her tracks.

It was extra special just because I have been spending so much time at work and this weekend was the first days I have had off in a month. Spending some time outdoors with my daughters was a needed break.

Awesome! I know exactly how you feel. Enjoy these times cause the kids grow up REALLY FAST! BIG congrats to her...and you!

Dave, you are correct, it is a Winchester .44. It is the same gun I took my first deer with 21 years ago as a 10 year old. She was shooting 180 grain Remington ammo.
