Wife and I need a new one. Looking at the temperpedics (sp) Anyways, wondering if any of you own one and what some feedback on them is. I hear they are hotin warm weather but are they really any worse than others??? I know it feels comfortable at the store.---Jason

Jason,
We got a sleep by number bed years ago and have enjoyed it ever since. I think they have a huge sale going on right now. It has held up well, and we can control the firmness individually. You might want to check them out. We looked at the temperpudic and thought that it was hot as well. Hope that helps. Maybe someone that has one can offer some insight.

I sleep on a temperpedics and it is really nice . I don't notice any heat difference on it versus a mattress with a topper.

Buy a cheap, semi soft mattress from Sam's Club

We have a temperpedic king deluxe and I like it but the wife thinks it is a bit on the firm side.
We had a sleep number and had several issues with the pump so it went back. They were nice enough to deal with but it is very cheaply made for what they cost in my opinion.

I bought a Temperpedic, but sent it back after a week. It felt too confining to me...it sorta wraps around you, and I didn't care for that feeling. After trying about 40 others, I bought a Beautirest by Simmons, instead. A fellow carpenter I work with just recently bought a latex mattress made by Jacuzzi, and he swears that its taken all his back pains away. I am going to go check one out.

Same here..... They are little conforming to the body but keeps me from tossing and turning during the night! I like them!!

I have had some back issues and this really, really helped. No problems at all after 8 years. Knock on wood! ;)

Thanks everyone. I swear buying a mattress is worse than a car or house :P I am sick of shopping, trying many out and listening to all the stupid sales pitches. Thanks again.---Jason

I have a pillowtop original mattress I got back 1999. It worked great for alot years. It is not worn out but it is showing some wear. I am thinking of geting a new one my self. All of our beds have original mattress and box springs on them.
