I read the book a few years ago.  The video is much more powerful as you get to hear the story from the man himself.  Thanks for posting...

I watched it today and enjoyed it very much...I plan on watching it again too...I thought it was outstanding...I liked it so much,I posted the link on another forum (not a turkey website) that I moderate on...Thanks for the link!

Only one thing I couldn't help but wonder...
What did the birds think of the cameraman?
I first thought Joe must have set the camera on a tripod, but there are scenes where he is in the picture with the birds and the camera is actually following behind them, yet he says he went for a year without interacting with another human.  Hmmmm...

This is a remake of his book done by the BBC. They started over with a new batch of chicks and filmed the process. His book came out in the 1990's so he was a much younger man when he originally did this.
