I've been messing with. Trough callers with Cedar bodies with slate and aluminum in the trough. Both have a real nice nasal rasp to them. Thanx for the look.  Bill (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a336/callmakerman/troughcalls002-1.jpg)

Thanx guys. The dark striker is charcoal silver dymondwood. Really love the way dymondwood works on all the friction surfaces.  Bill

Bill, Like the look of the cedar. Is there a big difference in sound between the slate and aluminum?

 The slate is just a tad bit softer sound than the aluminum but still can call loud if you want it to and has about the same amount of rasp in it.  bill
