Karen and I went to a local fair yesterday afternoon so we could get some sugar waffles and play some games . As it turned out , the Charlie Daniels Band was playing in the grandstands the same day ! Well I'm not one to pass up a good chance to see one of the greatest musicians alive today . We got tenth row seats near the center and watched an absolutely fantastic show ! Half way through the night , it started raining , but Charlie continued to play . And of course we continued to sit in the rain ! It was all worth it though because he put on one heck of a performance ! He played Long-haired Country Boy ( my fav.) , the Legend of Wooly Swamp , Amazing Grace , along with many others, and then closed the house with a little song you might remember, "The Devil Went Down to Geaorgia !" Everyone in the place, young and old , were both entertained and moved by Charlie and the guys ! Just thought I'd share some pictures . We sat really close and there were no camera restrictions . I even videoed the "Devil Went Down to Geaorgia " and a couple of other songs ! It was a beautiful Les Paul . It had a ribbon going around it that says "In memory of TC " . I love Gibson guitars !

I have seen Charlie 7 times in concert, never been disappointed in any of those shows. Heckuva musician and performer, and an even better American!!!!

Bob you are one lucky person and just found out... he's coming to our Arena!!!!! I cannot wait. He'll be the first one I go see.
That will be one heck of a concert!

He came to Bill Collins Ford dealership here in town for a grand opening a while back...I was fortunate to get a ticket for the event, he played in the dealer museum shop inside, there were only about 50 people that got tickets, it was one heck of a show! seemed more personal too, he talked to people during breaks and after the show...great guy!
