These are staying close to home. I'm getting caught up on calls I've promised folks around here.

If they sound as good as the caller I got from you Dave they are a winner in every way!  I like the display, are you getting ready to do a show somewhere?

John,

A good friend Paul Wayne Lawson made me that display. He is one of our bunch that has been camping together since 1970. I haven't used it but to hold calls here around the house.
Jake and I will be at Alley Spring this fall. Oct 8th I believe it is.  They have a heritage days type event with all the old time crafts and skills on display. Dan & Letha came by last year and set for a while. The national park service puts it on. It's the same weekend that Arts N Crafts is held at Circle B. That's our local big event in the fall. There's lots of stuff and people. You should plan your fall vist about then?

David

They are beautiful Dave......I'd love to make that event at Alley Spring.

Where Alley spring hits Jacks Fork river is by far the codest water I've ever been in...at least in the middle of the summer..... ;D  I think in ranges from 48-52 degrees.....All I know is it hurt me.... ;D

Growing up it never seemed to bother me. I spent most of my summer in the water. The last time I got wet below the spring I thought the water was 32 degree's  ROTFLMBO It didn't take me long to get my fill. Now days I go above the spring to swim with the kids and jitterbug. The bad part about that is the water snakes like the water below and the cottonmouth's like the warm water above. Gotta be careful after dark but that's also the time the big smallmouth feed.

Thanks to all of you for the nice comments. 3 of them were delivered tonight. One feller ordered another.

Have a good evening
 *cheers*
David

Dang, I wish I a tenth of that skill.  A very few have it, and you got a "Double Dose".  Thanks for sharing David.

That is most likely what that Ruger in the holster is for then.  I thought it may be for unwanted shop intruders.  It might be for both.  *up*

David, your tag line, "be a student daily"  well now, I would love to see the teachers work if you are the student, simply wonderful and such a pleasure to gaze at.  Charlie is so right, your wood burning has taken a sharp up turn, or else you have been holding out on us. *up* *up*  Again, you really inspire us students!  *bowing*

I got to see and hear some of David's calls at different stages. There were some fine sounding calls and the woodburning is as good as I have seen. Great tradition he is carrying on.
