Title: Shortbox family heritage caller

Here is a pic. of a caller I made for the Maryland NWTF president . He sent me some wormy chestnut wood that he salvaged from his Grandfathers house when it was torn down . He didn't know what to do with the wood but he knew he wanted to make something from it . The boards that he sent were only 3/4" thick so I laminated a piece of padauk between them to make it wide enough to use . The top and bottom are made from yellowheart and the endblocks are mineral stained poplar . This will complete a set of calls that I made using the wood from his Grandfathers house . Pretty caller.  I really like working with wood that has personal history.  Good Job.
