Title: Key Chain Box Calls
Post by: Skull Point on July 19, 2011, 06:32:02 PM
These are  3 1/2 inch box calls that are made the same way as my regular ones. Don't let the size fool you they are packed with  a bunch of young bird sounds. Clucks and Kee Kees for the fall season and would also drive predators wild..If you would like to hear one just give me a call..
Thanks for looking, JT

There has been a guy in Illinois making them for quite some time.  I have seen him set up at John A Logan college during Hunting & Fishing days.  He was also at the Deer & Turkey classic as well.  They will make a fairly decent high pitched young kee kee.

My point is that these keychains are nothing new, it's a copied design that has been around for a while.
Your looking at a simple novelty keychain, one that is glued with a nice laser engraved lid  and another that is hand hewed out, no biggie as it's not like they were a working Neil Cost box call.
I have carried one of these for a simple conversation piece in the past and take them to be no more than that as I am sure most would agree they are not meant to be anything more.  I purchased a 1/2 dz or so of them and gave them away as the novelty conversation item that they are.
Here is another lid example he had as I kept one of each.
