Jim cut the tree back in the 1930's and said it took three men to wrap their arms around the trunk . When he sold his farm in the 1990's , they salvaged the walnut from the hayrack to make turkey callers . Jim Wallace is Jim Chilton's father-in-law . Jim Chilton is my dear friend and is Walter Winterbottom's son (step-son). Jim Chilton salvaged the wood and he shares some of it with me each time I visit them in Eminence . The canarywood came from far far away , lol ! This caller sounds good and I am sure you will enjoy it ."

I happen to know right where that walnut came from. The Wallace place joins my place to the south. I'm sure there's lots of blood, sweat and tears along with turkey in that box.
