Title: An uplifting video for the outdoorsman..
Post by: wiltznucs on July 09, 2011, 01:07:46 PM
I had a friend steer me toward this video.  The video is about a black lab named Gator.  Ol' Gator loves duck hunting with his owner, but recently became blind due to a rare disorder which can rob dogs of their vision in only a matter of weeks.

The owner decided to bring ol' Gator hunting despite his disability.  We all know its hard to give up what you love.

The video tells the rest of the story...

As I sit here looking at my two yellow labs and it makes me appreciate their health even more.
SARDS - (Sudden acquired retinal degeneration syndrome) blinds 1,000's of dogs each year.  Gator is a lab with a lot of desire and I hope he gets to sit in many more duck blinds in the seasons to come.  Thanks for sharing the link..

That is a great animal and one lucky masters. There is nothing like a great dog to share hunting with. I would really like to share a blind with that animal......I would be proud.
Thanks for sharing
