The groundhogs and the robins just ain't cuttin' it, although they do provide for some good summer action for "The Nose"! *up*

Don;t know about everyone else, but fall can't get here soon enough. This has been a long summer so far and spring seems like it went way to fast. Just sayin!

I am so ready for fall... Sept 15th cannot get here soon enough (bow season) and then Oct 1!!! I'd love to bypass all this hot heat and jump right into fall!

I'm right there with you guys.....I'm just not into the "heat", although it's been pretty nice the past few days with the low humidity....they are saying next week is going to be killer hot though! :P

I hunted Christmass day last year Mike, in Camo shorts and a mesh Mossy Oak shirt, sat in a lil brush blind in a chair. 85% out on Christmass day.
even in December, Therma-cells are used daily. Our COLD, does not come in until January/Febuary. Then, right back to the Heat.
Looking forward to our Bow Season, and to get on them Turkey's I have been seeing, many Polt's, been a good year for our Turkee Birds here, seen many, many polt's the last 6 weeks scouting.
Seen at least 6 or 8 Hens with polts, they still had up to 9 with one Hen, most, had about 5 or 6 polts with them, and they are bout 10" or so, growing quick.

I hate what we have to deal with and it's not even close to what you have to deal with. I was talking to Timbo and he goes it's like 98% humidity now... I was like heck no!!!
I despise summer and just think I need to move to Antartica, but no turkeys there *cry*
I'm about ready to bring the bow out and get ready to try and stick a couple this fall.

Our " Fall " season on Public, is bow season in sept. Still very hot n Humid, in the 90's, with 90+ humidity.
Makes for a Hot day in the tree stand all camoed up with long sleeve's, gloves and masks n such.
Try and keep your scent down sweating in 90+ degree weather. *wha*
2 n 3 seasons ago, I could not hunt because of my injury's, but the last season I just set up in a chair in the palmettos wherever I strike a bird, and call.
Useually, in shorts, and a mesh shirt, just carry a folding chair, thermacell, the bow, an air call n mouthcall, and Water, lot's o water.
Here, in my area, the birds do not gobble, do not talk much at all during the Early Fall, so you need to know where they travel to n from, or at least the area they are working in, and just soft call occasionally, very soft. Only time I get to hunt the Turkee bird in the fall time, although it is early, I don't hunt the Deer, our RUT does not come in till late Oct anyway, focused on the bird's, but wont let a hog or deer walk of course, if they go to a teasing me.
